Anthropic
Business Systems Analyst
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Anthropic is building AI systems that are reliable, interpretable and steerable, and our Business Systems Analyst will help ensure the technology backbone scales with that ambition. In this role you will act as the linchpin between the company’s strategic business objectives and the engineering teams that deliver them, translating complex requirements into robust, maintainable technical solutions. You will own the full lifecycle of business‑technology projects, from initial discovery through deployment and ongoing optimization, while keeping the organization’s processes efficient and future‑ready.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will lead end‑to‑end delivery of technical initiatives, coordinating with product, engineering, and operations to define scope, timelines and success metrics. You will configure and customize enterprise systems—setting user permissions, workflows and integrations—to meet evolving organizational needs. You will evaluate and manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, SLAs and performance reviews to ensure third‑party solutions align with Anthropic’s standards. You will produce and maintain detailed system documentation, process flows and user guides, ensuring knowledge is captured and shared across teams. You will conduct rigorous testing, validation and user acceptance to guarantee quality and reliability before launch. You will monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and recommend automation or redesign to improve efficiency and scalability.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You bring at least five years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent in a technology‑focused environment, with a proven track record of translating business needs into technical specifications. You are adept at configuring and customizing a range of business applications, and you have hands‑on experience with API integrations and iPaaS platforms. Your analytical mindset allows you to dissect complex processes, identify opportunities for automation, and design solutions that drive operational excellence. You have strong documentation skills, producing clear, detailed guides and specifications that serve both technical and non‑technical audiences. You have managed vendor relationships, negotiated contracts and assessed performance against SLAs. You thrive in fast‑paced, high‑growth settings, juggling multiple projects while maintaining a proactive, self‑directed approach. Your communication style bridges the gap between stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
WHY REMOTE
Anthropic embraces a distributed, asynchronous culture that empowers employees to work from anywhere while collaborating effectively across time zones. Our remote model offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to structure your day around peak productivity and personal commitments. The company provides a generous remote work stipend to support home‑office setup, and all teams are equipped with the tools and processes needed to maintain high levels of communication, transparency and collaboration.
