Business Operations Senior Associate, Institutional

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly motivated Business Operations Senior Associate to join our Business Operations & Strategy team within the Institutional group at Coinbase. As a key member of our team, you will partner directly with senior leadership to tackle Coinbase's highest-priority strategic and operational challenges. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Business Operations Senior Associate, you will be responsible for structuring complex, ambiguous strategic problems for Coinbase's leadership team and developing actionable recommendations backed by data and quantitative modeling. You will also build business cases and financial models that identify new opportunities and directly inform Institutional product and go-to-market strategy. Additionally, you will develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive positioning, peer benchmarks, and the evolving crypto landscape to sharpen strategic recommendations. You will design and implement experiments to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and drive measurable changes across Institutional products. You will own problems end-to-end, from initial framing through analysis, recommendation, and implementation, not just the slide deck. Furthermore, you will strengthen team capabilities by improving existing processes, frameworks, and operational tooling. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need: - 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or product strategy, with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end strategic workstreams. - Proven ability to build quantitative models and business cases that have directly influenced executive or leadership decisions. - Familiarity with institutional finance, capital markets, or crypto/digital assets markets. - Track record of delivering clear, concise written and verbal recommendations to senior stakeholders in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. - Exposure to SQL and BI tools (e.g., Hex, Superset, Looker) or crypto analytics tools (e.g., Dune Analytics, Etherscan) is a plus but not required. - Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. WHY REMOTE Coinbase is a remote-first company, but not remote-only. You can expect to get together quarterly for intense in-person working sessions called “surges.” BENEFITS - Annual base salary range: $148,835 - $175,100 USD (excluding equity and bonus) - Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k))
