As a Bricklayer we play a pivotal role in delivering durable, aesthetically pleasing masonry that meets the highest industry standards. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with a talented team of designers, project managers and site supervisors to bring complex projects to life. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting bricks, laying courses with precision, and ensuring the structural integrity and finish of walls, arches and facades. Your work will directly impact client satisfaction and the long‑term performance of our builds, making attention to detail and a commitment to quality essential. You will also support the health and safety team by maintaining a clean, organised work environment and by following all relevant regulations and best practices. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Read and interpret architectural plans and specifications to determine the required masonry layout and material quantities. - Prepare and set up work areas, including measuring, cutting, and positioning bricks, stones, and other masonry units. - Lay bricks and blocks with precision, ensuring proper alignment, level, and structural integrity using mortar, adhesive, and bonding techniques. - Inspect completed work for quality, making adjustments and corrections as needed to meet design intent and client expectations. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other trades to coordinate schedules, resolve on‑site issues, and maintain project timelines. - Keep accurate records of material usage, waste, and progress reports to support project documentation and cost control. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a bricklayer or mason on a variety of construction sites. - Proficient knowledge of UK building regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices for masonry work. - Strong technical skills in measuring, cutting, laying, and finishing bricks, blocks, and stonework. - Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations, and construction documents. - Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the capacity to adapt techniques to meet design challenges and site constraints. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with clients, project teams, and subcontractors. - A proactive, self‑motivated attitude, capable of working independently while remaining aligned with team objectives.
