Associate, Network Contracting

ABOUT THE ROLE We're Oscar, a health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We're hiring an Associate, Network Contracting to join our Specialist Contracting team and play a key role in building and maintaining a robust network of healthcare providers. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on negotiating contracts, analyzing provider performance, and optimizing costs. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Associate, Network Contracting, you will be responsible for managing contracts with key healthcare providers, including hospitals, health systems, and large national ancillary groups. Your tasks will include: - Implementing contracting strategies that align with the company's overall network adequacy, development, and cost management objectives - Negotiating contracts with assigned healthcare providers, focusing on favorable terms and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements - Analyzing provider contracts to identify areas for improvement and optimization - Utilizing data and analytics to support negotiation and contracting decisions - Collaborating with the provider services team to educate and communicate with our provider network - Monitoring assigned networks to gauge compliance with standards and developing corrective action plans to remediate deficiencies - Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 3+ years of experience in healthcare client management, healthcare consulting, or provider healthcare contracting, healthcare operations, or a related field - 2+ years of experience supporting provider network strategy development and negotiating provider contracts - 1+ year of experience running financial analyses on a market or product line and working cross-functionally to support driving improvement opportunities - 1+ year of experience navigating and organizing large data sets, such as claim files and provider rosters - An Associate's degree or equivalent professional working experience WHY REMOTE This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in the United States. You will be fully remote, with the potential for future models to involve a hybrid presence at a hub office associated with your metro area.
