Assembly Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE Flow Control Commune is a leading innovator in precision flow management solutions for industrial and consumer markets. We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our distributed engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end assembly of high‑precision flow control units, ensuring each component meets strict quality and performance specifications. Your work will directly influence the reliability and efficiency of our products, enabling our customers to achieve optimal process control in their operations worldwide. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot flow control devices according to engineering drawings and SOPs, maintaining meticulous documentation of each unit’s build and test results. You will collaborate closely with design engineers to refine assembly processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. You will perform root‑cause analysis on assembly defects, recommend corrective actions, and validate solutions through repeat testing. You will also support inventory management by tracking component usage and reporting shortages or excesses to the supply chain team. Your daily activities will include operating precision hand tools, automated assembly equipment, and test rigs, while adhering to safety and quality standards. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent MBA with relevant technical background. You have 3 to 6 years of hands‑on assembly experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in flow control, fluid dynamics, or related precision instrumentation. You possess strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. Proficiency with CAD files, schematic interpretation, and basic programming of PLC or microcontroller test rigs is essential. You are comfortable using measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and pressure transducers, and you can interpret tolerance data to ensure compliance. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enable you to document findings clearly and collaborate effectively across remote teams.
