AP Accountant
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Bosta is redefining last‑mile delivery across the Middle East with a data‑driven, technology‑first approach. As an AP Accountant you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity of our rapidly growing operations. You will manage the full accounts payable cycle, support cross‑functional teams, and help scale our financial processes to support new markets and partners. Your work will directly impact the reliability of our supply chain, the satisfaction of our vendors, and the overall profitability of the business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will process and reconcile vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. You will maintain the general ledger entries for AP and support month‑end close activities. You will collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to resolve payment discrepancies and improve payment workflows. You will monitor cash flow and prepare payment schedules to optimize working capital. You will audit AP controls and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk. You will provide timely reporting to senior finance leadership and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and at least three years of AP experience in a fast‑paced environment. You are proficient with accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks, and comfortable working with spreadsheets and data analytics tools. You possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You are self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a distributed team. You understand the regulatory and tax implications of AP processes in the Middle East and have experience with cross‑border payments.
