ABOUT THE ROLE
The Anthropic Fellows Program is designed to foster AI research and engineering talent, providing funding and mentorship to promising technical talent. We aim to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial for society as a whole.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Anthropic Fellow, you will primarily use external infrastructure to work on an empirical project aligned with our research priorities. Your goal will be to produce a public output, such as a paper submission. You will have the opportunity to work on a project that interests you, with the guidance of a mentor from our team.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be a strong candidate, you should have a strong technical background in computer science, mathematics, or physics. You should be fluent in Python programming and able to implement ideas quickly and communicate clearly. You should also be motivated by making sure AI is safe and beneficial for society as a whole.
WHY REMOTE
As an Anthropic Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work from either Berkeley, California or London, UK, with access to a shared workspace. You will also have a weekly stipend of 3,850 USD / 2,310 GBP / 4,300 CAD, plus benefits, and funding for compute and other research expenses.
