Accounting Manager, GL Operations & Intercompany

ABOUT THE ROLE The Accounting Manager, GL Operations & Intercompany at Coinbase will join the Controllership team to drive operational excellence across close, consolidation, and intercompany workstreams while supporting the company's continued international growth. This role will oversee the integrity of global consolidation, the accuracy of the general ledger, and the scalability of financial infrastructure. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Accounting Manager, you will own end-to-end month-end and quarter-end close processes across global entities, ensuring timely and accurate general ledger reporting and consolidated financial statements. Key responsibilities include leading global intercompany operations, partnering with various teams to operationalize new intercompany agreements, and driving the design and implementation of SOX-compliant internal controls. You will also execute strategic GL projects, including M&A integration, new entity set-ups, and ERP enhancements in NetSuite, and strengthen team capability by mentoring and developing direct reports. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will require a CPA with 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance, including 2+ years managing direct reports, with public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred). You will also need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with applied knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX 404 implementation and documentation. Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytics tools (Snowflake, Looker, or similar) and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) are also essential. WHY REMOTE Coinbase is a remote-first company, with quarterly in-person working sessions called "surges." This role will be based remotely, with opportunities to collaborate with the team and participate in in-person sessions. BENEFITS The base salary for this role ranges from $166,345 to $195,700 USD per year, with total compensation including equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
