ABOUT THE ROLE Tipsy Topsy is a vibrant chain of multi‑brand fashion outlets across Andhra Pradesh, with a flagship store in Vijayawada. We are redefining retail by offering customers a curated selection of over 50 leading brands under one roof, making shopping quicker, easier, and more enjoyable. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly, providing accurate and timely reporting that supports our growth strategy and upholds the highest standards of compliance. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere while collaborating with a dynamic team of finance, operations, and merchandising professionals. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will prepare and file GST tax documents, ensuring all returns are accurate and submitted on schedule. You will maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and process payments in a timely manner. You will calculate and file TDS and other indirect tax computations, keeping abreast of regulatory changes. You will work closely with the store managers to audit daily transactions and provide financial insights that inform merchandising decisions. You will support month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing financial statements and variance analyses for senior leadership. You will also assist in budgeting and forecasting, contributing to the financial planning cycle. WHAT YOU'LL NEED A strong background in Indian taxation, particularly GST, VAT, and TDS, is essential. You must be proficient in Tally, GST filing software, and the MS Office suite, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis. Experience in retail accounting or a similar high‑volume environment is highly desirable. You should possess a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical abilities, and the capacity to work independently while coordinating with cross‑functional teams. Strong communication skills in English and Telugu are required to interact with store staff and regulatory bodies. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with professional certifications such as CA or CMA, will set you apart.
