Account Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE Natural Spirits Nepal is a leading producer of premium, sustainably sourced spirits that bring the authentic flavors of Nepal to a global audience. As a remote Account Officer, you will be a key member of our finance team, ensuring the integrity and transparency of our financial records while supporting strategic growth initiatives. Your work will directly influence the company’s ability to scale responsibly, maintain regulatory compliance, and deliver value to our stakeholders. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis to support timely financial reporting. - Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and cost‑center performance data for senior management. - Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing insights on cost drivers and profitability. - Coordinate with procurement, sales, and production teams to capture and validate expense data, ensuring alignment with internal controls. - Manage vendor invoices, expense claims, and payroll entries, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. - Lead the implementation of process improvements in bookkeeping, data entry, and reporting to increase efficiency and reduce errors. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. - Minimum of three years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably within manufacturing or distribution environments. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros. - Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Nepali is an advantage. - Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
