ABOUT THE ROLE The Support Operations position is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining Horizontal Machining Centre (HMC) machines. The role ensures the production of dies, components, and precision parts that meet design drawings, quality standards, and production targets while upholding safety and machine care. WHAT YOU'LL DO Operate HMC machines to produce dies, components, and precision parts in accordance with drawings and quality specifications. Set up and maintain equipment to achieve production targets and maintain high levels of machine reliability. Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring zero fatal accidents in the work area. Track and maintain an accident frequency rate below 0.25 and an accident severity rate under 100. Identify near misses and abnormalities, and initiate corrective actions within seven days. Ensure all new employees complete 100% of required safety training before they are assigned responsibilities. Conduct investigations of incidents and near misses within 48 hours, ensuring thorough documentation and resolution. Review identified risks on a monthly basis to maintain a proactive safety culture. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Strong knowledge of HMC machine operation and maintenance. Experience with safety compliance and incident investigation. Ability to analyze production data and implement corrective actions. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
