ABOUT THE ROLE As a Staff Product Designer on the Risk team at Stripe, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the user experience of businesses using Stripe's financial infrastructure platform. With a focus on risk management, you will design experiences that help businesses start and grow successfully on Stripe. This is a high-impact design space where you will help bring clarity to critical user moments, reduce friction for legitimate businesses, and raise the craft bar where trust, ease, and confidence matter most. WHAT YOU'LL DO In this role, you will design experiences that help businesses start and grow successfully on Stripe. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to define problems, shape direction, and ship high-quality experiences. Your responsibilities will include: - Translating complex systems, policies, and operational constraints into clear, thoughtful product experiences - Identifying high-leverage opportunities that improve coherence across journeys, touchpoints, and surfaces - Partnering closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, operations, and strategists to shape product direction and drive user and business outcomes - Developing both long-term strategy and pragmatic short-term solutions - Designing, prototyping, and communicating ideas with creative storytelling and demos - Using qualitative and quantitative signals to inform decisions and evaluate impact - Raising the craft bar in a domain where quality and trust matter deeply - Contributing to shared patterns and systems that help the broader Risk organization build with coherence WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have: - 10+ years of relevant product design experience at a product-driven technology company - A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent craft, systems thinking, and end-to-end design, including a strong understanding of AI tools - Experience working on complex product areas with multiple stakeholders, constraints, and interconnected workflows - Strong product thinking and the ability to shape direction, not just execute against requirements - Demonstrated ability to prototype and design across multiple touchpoints and surfaces - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence through clear design rationale and artifacts WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere and be part of a global team that is shaping the future of financial infrastructure.
