Senior Solutions Architect - SLED

ABOUT THE ROLE Elastic is a leading Search AI company that empowers enterprises to unlock insights from all of their data in real time. As a Senior Solutions Architect – SLED, you will be the technical voice for state, local, and education customers, guiding them through the design, deployment, and optimization of Elastic’s unified search, observability, and security stack. Your expertise will help public sector organizations meet strict compliance requirements, improve citizen services, and reduce operational costs while driving adoption of Elastic’s cloud‑native solutions across their entire data estate. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will serve as the primary technical advisor for your assigned SLED accounts, collaborating closely with account managers to understand each customer’s mission and translate it into a compelling solution roadmap. You will lead discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and proof‑of‑concepts that demonstrate the value of Elastic’s platform in addressing public sector challenges such as data privacy, scalability, and real‑time analytics. You will craft technical presentations and collateral for internal sales teams, partner events, and industry conferences, ensuring consistent messaging that resonates with decision makers. You will mentor and enable Elastic partners, providing them with the training and resources needed to close deals in the SLED market. You will act as the customer and community advocate, gathering feedback on product gaps and new feature ideas and communicating them to Elastic’s engineering and product leadership. Finally, you will continuously refine your technical and sales skill set through Elastic’s learning programs and industry certifications. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You bring a proven track record of success in a technical presales or solutions architecture role within the public sector, with a deep understanding of state, local, and education procurement processes and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, CJIS, and HIPAA. You can articulate complex technical concepts in clear, business‑focused language and demonstrate how Elastic’s platform delivers measurable ROI. You are a collaborative influence, having successfully convinced cross‑functional teams to adopt new architectures or technologies. You thrive in a fast‑moving environment, balancing multiple stakeholder priorities while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You are comfortable traveling up to 40 % within your region and occasionally internationally to meet with customers and partners. You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and possess relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Elastic Certified Engineer.
