Senior Illustrator, Design Foundations & AI Transformation

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a Senior Illustrator to lead the craft and execution of Lyft's illustration system, which spans product surfaces, marketing, and brand. As a key member of Design Foundations, you'll partner closely with design, engineering, and marketing teams to drive illustration work through a period of active brand migration and capability expansion. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Illustrator, you'll be responsible for executing illustration work across various product surfaces, including Rider and Driver, with a high level of craft and a deep understanding of Lyft's system and style. You'll also lead ongoing brand migration work, developing motion design capabilities for illustrated assets, and maintaining Lyft's illustration libraries in Figma. Additionally, you'll manage the illustration intake process, collaborate with engineers to ship illustrations through the Lyft Product Language (LPL) design system, and work with Marketing, Brand, and Content teams to extend the illustration system beyond product surfaces. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you'll need 4+ years of professional illustration experience, ideally in a product or brand context. You should have strong Figma skills, demonstrated experience building or maintaining an illustration system, and comfort working directly with engineering. Motion or animation experience is also a plus, or a genuine appetite to develop it.
