ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Customer Success Architect is a critical role at Amplitude, where you will play a key part in helping our customers build better products and digital experiences. As a trusted technical expert, you will provide guidance on data management and consultative support on customer taxonomy and tech stack, ensuring that our customers have the clean product analytics data they need to drive their products forward.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Customer Success Architect, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Serving as a trusted technical hand-on operator for our global customers, providing strategic benefit through data audit and taxonomy cleanup
- Possessing a mastery of Amplitude products to assist customers in mapping data-flow architecture between Amplitude and upstream sources, including Segment, mParticle, Snowflake, BigQuery, and RudderStack
- Assisting customers in integrating Amplitude into additional data flows and business processes, making Amplitude an integral business partner
- Running deep-dive investigations into data discrepancies and recommending action plans
- Auditing existing Amplitude implementations against best practices and producing a scored report with prioritized remediation steps
- Gathering, organizing, and reporting trends and customer insights to optimize business processes, documentation, and services
- Collaborating cross-functionally with teams to streamline internal processes and improve data management experience for our customers
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing data or analytics role, including implementation, solutions/sales engineering, analytics engineering, or data consulting
- Competent in programming languages and concepts that underpin modern web and mobile development, including SQL, JavaScript, Java, Python, Android, iOS, and RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and event pipelines, including Segment, mParticle, and RudderStack
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, especially Snowflake and BigQuery
- Understanding of client-side and server-side SDK instrumentation across web and mobile
- A solid grasp of event taxonomy design and data governance principles
- Ability to collaborate across time zones with onshore architects and account teams
- At least 5 years of customer-facing technical experience, with a demonstrated record of successfully engaging with enterprise accounts
- Execution and customer service-oriented, able to effectively prioritize, project manage, and complete customer deliverables on-time and drive outcomes
