Senior Brand Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior Brand Designer at Marqeta, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing engaging, performance-driven work as part of the Content and Creative team. You will be responsible for ideation, exploration, and implementation of visuals across mediums and channels with an eye toward continual up-leveling of our campaigns and the Marqeta brand. You will anchor your design work in solving the business problem at hand and have a strong foundation in the fundamentals. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will create visual systems that tell clear stories and leave an impression on our audiences and Marqeta's visual brand. You will produce end-to-end creative for campaigns across various channels and brand surfaces. You will build wireframes and create visuals for responsive web experiences that drive conversion. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define strategic approach and design effective, compelling presentations. You will help scale our design impact by implementing design systems, leveraging automation tools, building effective templates, collaborating with our data and insights teams to test and optimize our work, and evolving/adjusting our processes for an increasingly efficient workflow. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent work experience. You will have 10+ years of experience in brand design, in-house or agency. You will have a portfolio of work that demonstrates excellent design across a range of channels/surfaces and strong process. You will be skilled in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Docs. You will have excellent design principles and fundamentals, including layout, hierarchy, balance, typography, and color theory. You will have a pixel-perfect attention to detail and be able to "show your work" through process and iteration. You will be flexible and adaptable to create great work in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. WHY REMOTE Marqeta is a Flexible First company, which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. This role can be performed remotely within the United States or from our Oakland, CA or New York City offices. If you are based within 35 miles of our Oakland, California, New York City (Midtown) or London office, you will be expected to be in-office 2 days/week. BENEFITS Marqeta offers competitive compensation, with a new-hire base salary range of $98,200 - $144,300, depending on location.
