Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Guardian Electrical Compliance Ltd is expanding its technical team and seeks a highly skilled Professional PAT Tester to deliver comprehensive electrical safety inspections across the Oxford and Milton Keynes region. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical equipment meets national safety standards, maintaining rigorous documentation, and providing clients with timely, accurate reports. Your work will directly support our reputation for precision, reliability, and exceptional customer service.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will conduct PAT testing on a wide range of electrical appliances and equipment, using the latest diagnostic tools and software. You will record results, generate certificates and reports, and upload findings to client portals such as TraQit, ensuring that all documentation is completed within the same day of testing. You will meet a daily KPI of 300–350 items, translating to approximately 38 items per hour, by leveraging our streamlined digital workflow that includes barcode scanning, pre‑printed labels, and automated report generation. You will collaborate with the PTSG CRM team to update client records, resolve any discrepancies, and provide expert advice on remedial actions. You will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives, sharing insights on process efficiencies and equipment performance.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
A City & Guilds 2377 qualification is mandatory, demonstrating your expertise in electrical safety testing. You must hold a full, clean UK driving licence, as you will travel to client sites across the region. You should have a proven track record of meeting high productivity targets while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret test results in the context of regulatory requirements are essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to produce clear reports and interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Experience with Clarity software and bespoke CRM systems is highly desirable, as is a proactive approach to learning new technologies and industry best practices.
