ABOUT THE ROLE Mr Clutch Autocentres is a leading automotive service provider with a reputation for quality and customer focus. We are looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join our dedicated team and play a key role in ensuring every vehicle we service meets DVSA standards. The position is a full‑time, on‑site role at one of our high‑traffic branches, but we support a flexible, distributed culture that allows team members to work remotely on administrative and scheduling tasks where appropriate. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will conduct comprehensive MOT tests on a wide range of vehicle types, ensuring full compliance with DVSA guidelines and our internal quality standards. You will record test results accurately, identify and report faults, and advise customers on necessary repairs. You will collaborate closely with workshop staff to maintain efficient workflow, manage test scheduling, and support the team during peak periods. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and proposing process enhancements. WHAT YOU'LL NEED A valid DVSA MOT Tester card and a proven track record of performing MOTs on all makes and models. You should possess strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. Effective communication with customers and team members is essential, as is the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. You must adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised test area.
