Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE Geelong Careers is one of Australia’s leading employment agencies, connecting top talent with leading organisations across the country. We are expanding our logistics team to support the growing volume of parcels and packages that flow through our network. As a Mail Sorter, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every parcel is accurately sorted, labelled, and prepared for onward delivery. Your work will directly impact the speed and reliability of our service, helping our partners meet their customer commitments and maintain high satisfaction levels. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will receive incoming parcels, inspect them for damage, and use an RF scanner to record each item’s details in our system. You will sort parcels by destination, priority, and handling requirements, ensuring that each package is routed to the correct storage location or delivery vehicle. You will maintain a clean and organised work area, following safety protocols and company policies at all times. You will collaborate with the warehouse team to resolve any discrepancies, coordinate with shipping partners, and support inventory audits. You will also assist in the preparation of outgoing shipments, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete. Your attention to detail and efficiency will help minimise errors and improve overall throughput. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You have a proven track record of working in a fast‑paced logistics or warehouse environment, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. You are comfortable using RF scanners and basic computer systems to record data. You possess excellent organisational and time‑management skills, allowing you to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of precision. You are physically fit, able to lift and move heavy packages regularly, and understand basic safety procedures. You demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. You can communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, and you are comfortable working independently during 4‑hour shifts. Experience with inventory management software or a similar system is an advantage. WHY REMOTE Geelong Careers embraces a distributed, asynchronous culture that values flexibility and work‑life balance. While this role traditionally requires on‑site presence, we are exploring remote or hybrid arrangements for qualified candidates who can manage the physical demands and maintain the same level of accuracy and accountability. Remote or hybrid workers will have access to the same tools, training, and support as their on‑site colleagues, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. Flexible scheduling allows you to align your work hours with peak operational periods, while still enjoying the freedom to manage your personal commitments. BENEFITS We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental coverage, a generous paid time‑off policy, a remote work stipend for qualified positions, and a dedicated learning budget to support your professional development. You will also receive competitive remuneration, performance‑based incentives, and access to our employee assistance program.
