ABOUT THE ROLE The City of Charlottetown is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Dispatch Charlottetown Police Services. As a key member of the police department, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical support to emergency responders and the community through effective and efficient dispatch services. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Dispatch Charlottetown Police Services, you will be responsible for receiving and processing emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching police units and other emergency services as required, and providing critical information to responders in the field. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, and for staying up-to-date with changing policies and procedures. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. You will also need to have a strong understanding of police procedures and protocols, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and previous experience in a dispatch or emergency services role is an asset.
