ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team at Treewalk, a leading advisory practice specializing in financial reporting and corporate services for public companies. As an Assistant Controller, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients across different industries, including e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, cannabis, mining, and biotechnology. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable exposure to public company clients and eventually become a Controller in industry. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Assistant Controller, your responsibilities will include preparation of various working papers, oversight and review of full cycle accounting, and various other ad hoc projects unique to our clients. You will have ownership over specific client files and be responsible for maintaining professional relationships with clients and team members alike. Your tasks will include: - Preparation of various working papers - Oversight and review of full cycle accounting - Ad hoc projects unique to our clients - Maintaining professional relationships with clients and team members WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have: - Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation - Assurance experience at a public accounting firm - Strong relationship-building skills - Attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems - Excellent organizational skills - Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously - Strong technological skills - Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere and manage your schedule as you see fit.
