Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE As Area Vice President - Financial Services, you will lead GitLab's Financial Services sales organization, shaping the strategy for winning new customers, expanding existing relationships, and driving predictable growth. You will build and develop a team of Regional Sales Directors who lead Enterprise and Commercial Account Executives, helping financial services customers leverage GitLab's DevSecOps platform to improve software development, security, and delivery. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a key member of the GitLab team, you will be responsible for: Establishing and delivering a strategy to win new customers, expand existing accounts, and create a shared vision for long-term growth Driving customer success and predictable year-over-year annual recurring revenue growth for GitLab Recruiting, developing, and retaining a diverse and effective sales organization of Regional Sales Directors and Strategic Account Executives Building and maintaining key customer relationships, and developing strategies to expand GitLab's customer base in Financial Services Providing detailed and accurate sales forecasts, managing the overall sales process, and setting clear metrics for sales funnel management Leading at both the strategic and operational levels, translating priorities into consistent execution Partnering with Marketing, Channel, Alliances, Product, Engineering, and other teams to support customer outcomes and growth WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need: Progressive second-line leadership experience leading teams in strategic sales Repeatable success recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining leaders and individual contributors in a high-performing enterprise sales organization Deep experience selling into accounts in core Financial Services markets Consistent overachievement against an annual quota Progressive experience in software sales, preferably with development tools or open source software A proven record of working closely with channel partners and cross-functional peers to support growth High integrity, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate and present clearly to a range of audiences The ability to adapt, work independently, collaborate effectively, manage an ambitious workload, and learn and use GitLab A bachelor's degree and the ability to travel as needed in line with GitLab's travel policy WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, while still being part of a high-performing team that values collaboration and innovation.
