Architectural Drafter Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Architectural Drafter Designer to join our growing construction team. As a remote Architectural Drafter Designer, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and estimators to deliver high-quality, construction-ready documentation for residential and light commercial projects in Australia. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Architectural Drafter Designer, you will be responsible for preparing architectural drawings and construction documentation from sketches, mark-ups, engineering details, and project specifications. This includes producing detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, framing details, and construction drawings, as well as revising and updating drawings throughout the design and construction process. You will ensure that all documentation complies with Australian building standards, NCC requirements, and project specifications. Additionally, you will coordinate with project managers, engineers, estimators, and other team members to ensure design accuracy, maintain drawing registers, revisions, and organized project documentation, and interpret architectural plans, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience as an Architectural Drafter, Building Designer, or Architectural Technician, with proficiency in AutoCAD or other industry-standard drafting software. You will have a strong understanding of architectural drafting standards and construction documentation, as well as excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work. Strong written and spoken English communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are also essential. A reliable computer, stable internet connection, and a dedicated workspace are required.
