Web Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE We're on a mission to make money work for everyone. As a Web Engineer at Monzo, you'll play a crucial role in building scalable infrastructure for our international expansion and equipping marketing teams to create content independently. Our team, Web Foundations, is responsible for maintaining our public-facing website, ensuring it scales for international expansion, building our component library, and maintaining our content management system. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Web Engineer, you'll work closely with the Product Manager and other cross-discipline peers to identify and scope opportunities for impactful projects. You'll actively contribute to every stage in the product development lifecycle within your team, owning the development of new features from start to finish. You'll also work closely with other engineers to scope and build out functionality to support new frontend features. You'll be responsible for maintaining our public-facing website, ensuring it scales for international expansion, building our component library, and maintaining our content management system. You'll also be working on building performant, secure, scalable web experiences and designing/building UI that makes it easy for users to accomplish what they need. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you'll need to have experience building modern component-oriented JavaScript applications using frameworks and libraries such as React, Vue, Angular, Flow/Typescript, and Webpack. You'll also need to be a keen learner and love sharing your knowledge with others. You should have an interest in building performant, secure, scalable web experiences and designing/building UI that makes it easy for users to accomplish what they need. WHY REMOTE This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed/remote working. We can help you relocate to London and we offer visa sponsorship. BENEFITS Our salary range for the role is £85,000 - £115,000 depending on experience, plus Incentive Awards tied to your performance and other benefits.
