As a Staff Software Engineer, Backend – Platform (Core AI Automation), you will lead the design and delivery of Agentic AI systems that automate compliance, customer support, and other operational workflows. You will collaborate with product, data science, and security leaders to define the technical vision and roadmap for these systems, while mentoring a growing team of engineers across the organization. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will architect and build distributed Agentic AI infrastructures that power compliance automation and beyond, turning high‑level business requirements into robust, production‑ready services. You will design and expose APIs and orchestration layers that allow other teams to integrate AI agents into their own workflows, ensuring consistent guardrails and measurable outcomes. You will define and enforce architectural patterns for reliability, latency, and scalability, and you will lead the development of evaluation frameworks that quantify grounding, hallucination rates, and customer satisfaction. You will mentor engineers on best practices for LLM‑based applications, coding standards, and production readiness, fostering a culture of excellence across the Platform group. Finally, you will partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to iterate on product features, translating user feedback into technical improvements that enhance the overall AI ecosystem. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You bring eight or more years of software engineering experience, with a proven record of shipping large‑scale distributed systems and AI/ML applications. You have deep expertise in LLM‑based systems, including techniques for grounding, hallucination mitigation, and guardrail construction. You are comfortable designing high‑throughput APIs, orchestration frameworks, and evaluation pipelines that operate reliably in production. Your architectural vision aligns with security, compliance, and operational excellence, and you can translate complex business goals into scalable technical solutions.
