Staff Software Development Engineer in Test

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team. As a Staff SDET, you will play a key role in shaping our testing infrastructure and quality strategies. You will be responsible for architecting internal tools, libraries, and utilities for test automation and benchmarking, defining and evolving quality strategies, driving cross-org quality initiatives, and identifying systemic risks in business-critical systems. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Staff SDET, you will lead from the front, owning shared automation infrastructure, influencing release quality strategy, and driving initiatives that span teams and systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Architecting internal tools, libraries, and utilities for test automation and benchmarking - Defining and evolving quality strategies covering testability, release readiness, performance, and reliability - Driving cross-org quality initiatives to improve execution speed, observability, and feedback loops - Identifying systemic risks in business-critical systems and implementing robust validation strategies WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need: - Strong experience in software development and testing, with a focus on automation and quality assurance - Proficiency in Java 17+, JUnit, REST Assured, Shell scripting, and Python (optional) - Experience with infrastructure and tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Bazel, and Buildkite - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure - Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, and GitHub Actions - Familiarity with databases such as Postgres and MongoDB WHY REMOTE Our company offers a flexible work model that allows you to work from anywhere, while also providing opportunities for in-person collaboration and connection with your team.
