LaunchDarkly
Staff Enterprise Developer Advocate
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
LaunchDarkly is building a new enterprise‑focused developer advocacy motion that will transform how our largest customers engage with our platform. As Staff Enterprise Developer Advocate you will own the design, execution and scaling of an education‑first program that reaches engineers inside high‑value accounts, helping them unlock the full potential of feature flags, experimentation and safe rollouts. Your work will bridge the gap between our product, the sales cycle and the engineering teams that are building the next generation of AI‑powered applications. You will shape a repeatable practice that delivers measurable business impact, while fostering internal champions who become the voice of LaunchDarkly within their organizations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will design the end‑to‑end Enterprise Developer Advocacy program, defining session formats, account selection criteria, measurement frameworks and hand‑off processes. You will deliver in‑house technical workshops to groups of up to fifty engineers, covering topics such as safe rollouts, runtime control, experimentation and agent orchestration, tailoring content to each account’s stack and use cases. You will partner with Account Executives, Solution Engineers and Customer Success to identify target accounts, recruit and nurture internal champions, and ensure that insights and expansion opportunities are passed to the appropriate teams. You will maintain the credibility of the motion by keeping sessions non‑promotional and evidence‑based, instrumenting outcomes, producing readouts and debriefing with field partners to decide whether to scale, adjust or discontinue. Finally, you will own the playbook that future advocates will follow, refining processes and tooling as the program matures.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You bring at least twelve years of experience in developer advocacy, solutions engineering, developer education or technical marketing, with a proven track record of building customer‑facing technical programs from scratch. You are comfortable teaching large enterprise audiences, handling hard‑ball questions from senior architects, and you possess hands‑on technical credibility that earns the respect of senior engineers. Your operational instincts allow you to run a repeatable program, prioritize demand, and keep commitments to the field. You are adept at measuring impact, interpreting data and making data‑driven decisions about program scale. Bonus experience in feature management, experimentation, observability or agent orchestration tooling, as well as deep knowledge of how large engineering organizations make platform decisions, will set you apart. You are willing to travel approximately 25 percent of the time to meet with key stakeholders.
