Staff Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Staff Engineer at Yotpo, you will play a critical role in shaping the long-term architectural vision for our product, enabling it to scale, evolve, and deliver massive value. You will serve as the technical anchor for a critical business domain, operating at the intersection of Business Strategy and Deep Tech. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and driving the architectural roadmap for your product domain, anticipating scaling bottlenecks, designing resilient distributed systems, and ensuring our tech stack supports the next 10x of business growth. You will tackle complex, cross-cutting technical challenges that span multiple teams or services, mentor senior engineers and tech leads, and introduce engineering patterns, tools, and practices that make the entire organization faster and safer. You will also partner with Product Directors and VPs to validate feasibility early in the discovery phase and translate ambitious business goals into pragmatic technical strategies. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record of technical leadership in high-scale SaaS companies. You will have architectural mastery, with a deep understanding of designing and maintaining large-scale distributed systems, as well as full stack fluency, with a deep understanding of the entire web stack. You will also have strong cloud native skills, proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows, and a pragmatic leadership approach, prioritizing business value over "shiny new toys."
