Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join the Atlas Clusters Organization at MongoDB. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building and designing new features for MongoDB Atlas and Atlas Data Federation & Archiving. You will work closely with stakeholders throughout MongoDB to build our roadmap and product offerings, collaborate with team members to develop our codebase, and foster an inclusive and respectful work environment according to MongoDB's Core Values.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building new features for MongoDB Atlas and Atlas Data Federation & Archiving. This will involve contributing to and leading complex technical projects, working with customers and support engineers to fix issues, and becoming part of our on-call rotation. You will also collaborate with team members to develop our codebase, best practices, and design principles.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language (such as Go, Java, or C#). You will also need experience with at least one major cloud provider technology (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a proven track record of leading the launch of a new module and maintaining it in production.
