WHAT YOU'LL DO We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Backend Engineer to join our Alerting squad. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering new features, driving projects from ideation to operations, and contributing to our open-source culture. Your primary focus will be on designing, building, operating, and maintaining critical systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability. You'll also participate in on-call rotations, mentor and support team members, and collaborate with the team to drive innovation. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a motivated self-starter with a bias towards action, customer-focused, and passionate about creating intuitive products that fit customers' needs. You'll have solid experience with at least one programming language, preferably Go, but familiarity with Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar languages is also valuable. Experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements to shipping a product to the customer's hands is essential. You'll also need to have some experience with developing software that runs in the cloud or systems engineering. WHY REMOTE We're a 100% remote company with 1,600+ team members across 40+ countries. BENEFITS In Sweden, the compensation range for this role is SEK 878,578 - SEK 1,054,294. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process.
