Staff Backend Engineer - Alerting | Spain | Remote

WHAT YOU'LL DO We're seeking a highly motivated Staff Backend Engineer to join our Alerting squad, operating at the core of the Grafana open-source project. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with customers and the Grafana Cloud teams to make Alerting work on-prem and at infinite scale in Cloud. Your responsibilities will include: - Influencing our roadmap and your own career objectives - Delivering new features and iterating on results with your team - Driving projects from initial ideation to operations in the hands of customers - Embracing our open-source culture and contributing to other projects - Designing, building, operating, and maintaining critical systems - Participating in on-call rotations and taking ownership of services - Mentoring and supporting other team members - Learning new skills and gaining a deeper understanding of our cloud product and customers WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you'll need: - A motivated self-starter attitude with a bias towards action - Customer focus and a passion for creating intuitive products - Pragmatism and the ability to break down complex challenges - Collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in a fully remote setup - Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar) - Experience delivering projects from gathering requirements to shipping a product to customers - Experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud or systems engineering WHY REMOTE As a remote-first company, we provide guidance and meet regularly using video calls. We're looking for an independent attitude and good communication skills in our team members. BENEFITS In Spain, the compensation range for this role is EUR 94,025 - EUR 112,830. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. All of our roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs' success.
