Staff Backend Engineer - Alerting | Germany | Remote

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Staff Backend Engineer to join our Alerting squad at Grafana Labs. As a remote-first company, we're looking for individuals who thrive in an innovation-driven environment and are passionate about creating meaningful work. Our team operates at the core of the Grafana open-source project, providing the most in-depth way to let users manage their alerts. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in influencing our roadmap and driving projects from initial ideation to operations. You will work closely with your team to deliver new features, iterate and improve, and design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems. You will also be part of your team's on-call rotations, take ownership of the services you're running, and mentor and support other team members. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you should have a strong passion for creating intuitive products that fit customers' needs. You should be a motivated self-starter with a bias towards action, customer-focused, and able to take on complex challenges and break them down to achieve short feedback loops. You should have solid experience with at least one programming language, preferably Go, but familiarity with Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar is also valuable. Experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements to shipping a product to the customer's hands in a self-driven way is also essential. BENEFITS We offer a competitive compensation range of EUR 109,709 - EUR 131,651 in Germany, and actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset.
