Staff AI Engineer - 2nd Horizon | Spain | Remote

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Staff AI Engineer to join our 2nd Horizon team at Grafana Labs. As a Staff AI Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and shipping AI-powered features that help users understand, respond to, and improve their systems. Our team operates with a high degree of autonomy and ownership, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about experimentation, shipping, and scaling impactful features. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Staff AI Engineer, you will be responsible for building and delivering AI solutions that help users discover, organize, and optimize access to large datasets. You will work with the rest of the team to shape AI-driven product features, including the integration of agentic components with internal tools like Slack and alerting systems. You will also utilize AI and automation tools to enhance both product functionality and your own development workflows. You will be expected to: - Build and deliver AI solutions that are delightful, high-performance, and user-friendly - Rapidly experiment and iterate on AI-powered features, including shipping and evolving LLM- or agent-powered workflows - Collaborate with the team to shape AI-driven product features and integrate agentic components with internal tools - Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance product functionality and development workflows - Communicate effectively with peers and contribute across teams - Take full ownership of AI solutions, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with real user workflows WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - Strong engineering skills, with solid experience building production-grade, user-facing software systems - AI experience with a practical mindset, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions that work in the real world - Quick iteration and experimentation skills, with a pragmatic mindset - Proven initiative, taking ownership and driving projects forward, and defining scope where things are loosely defined - Collaborative attitude, communicating effectively with peers WHY REMOTE We are a 100% remote company with 1,600+ team members across 40+ countries.
