Sr. Professional Services Engineer Consultant

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Professional Services Engineer Consultant to join our Professional Services team at Pendo. As a key member of our Strategy & Transformation organization, you will play a critical role in helping our customers transform how they operate, not just how they use Pendo, through technical and strategic consulting. This involves complex technical engagements, including system migrations, integrations, and data work, as well as advisory support to help customers evolve their processes, teams, and ways of working. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Sr. Professional Services Engineer Consultant, you will own the design and delivery of complex technical engagements, working at the intersection of product, data, and engineering. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and delivering technical solutions that extend Pendo's capabilities and integrate with customer systems - Writing production-quality code, building APIs, designing data pipelines, and implementing ETL processes across data warehouses, analytics platforms, BI tools, and emerging AI/ML systems - Leading execution, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical leadership on escalated engagements - Advising customers on data architecture, integration patterns, and long-term technical strategy - Building reusable code libraries, frameworks, and integration patterns that scale across the Professional Services team - Identifying patterns across engagements and turning them into reusable playbooks, documentation, and delivery approaches - Sharing field intelligence with Product and cross-functional teams to inform how Pendo supports adoption and long-term value WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role within B2B SaaS, with hands-on experience writing custom code and building integrations - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Node.js, with the ability to write production-quality backend code - Deep experience with APIs, data pipelines, integration patterns, ETL processes, and data modeling - SQL proficiency and strong data modeling expertise - Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures - Demonstrated ability to translate complex data concepts into business value for both technical and business stakeholders - Experience leading technical transformation initiatives and data infrastructure projects WHY REMOTE This role is based in Raleigh, San Francisco, or remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while still being an integral part of our team.
