ABOUT THE ROLE Fivetran is redefining how organizations access and trust their data, making data movement as reliable as electricity. As a Senior People Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to managers across North America, guiding them through complex people challenges and helping them build high‑performing, resilient teams. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our new Regional HRBP model, collaborating with Functional HRBPs and People leaders to create scalable, data‑driven practices that support our rapid growth. Your work will directly influence the culture, engagement, and effectiveness of teams that power our mission to unlock the full value of data for thousands of customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will coach managers on performance, feedback, conflict resolution, and team dynamics, enabling them to become more effective leaders. You will investigate the root causes of performance issues, asking probing questions to uncover unclear expectations, team health problems, or systemic obstacles. You will lead complex people matters across North America, balancing employee experience, business needs, and risk while knowing when to involve Legal or other People partners. You will analyze team health data and engagement metrics to recommend actions that improve performance and retention. You will identify recurring patterns across teams, surface emerging risks, and collaborate with Functional HRBPs to develop region‑wide solutions. Finally, you will experiment with technology, automation, and AI to streamline repetitive work and enhance decision‑making. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You have at least five years of experience as a People or HR Business Partner, with a proven track record of coaching managers and resolving complex people issues. You possess a deep understanding of U.S. employment law and have supported employees across multiple states; experience in Canada or Mexico is a plus. You are a strategic thinker who can translate data insights into actionable HR initiatives. Your communication style is clear, empathetic, and persuasive, enabling you to build trust with leaders and employees alike. You thrive in a fast‑paced, distributed environment and are comfortable driving change while maintaining a focus on employee experience.
