ABOUT THE ROLE Stripe is building the financial infrastructure that powers the global economy, and the Specialist Solutions Architect – Data is a key member of that mission. In this role you will act as the bridge between Stripe’s cutting‑edge data products and the complex analytics needs of our enterprise customers. You will partner with sales, product, and engineering to translate market demands into scalable, revenue‑generating solutions that drive adoption of our data pipelines, reporting, and analytics tooling. Your work will shape the next generation of Stripe’s data platform and influence the product roadmap through deep customer insights and market intelligence. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will collaborate closely with the pre‑sales and product teams to design and present data‑centric solutions that accelerate pipeline and revenue targets. You will conduct in‑depth discovery of customers’ data architecture, warehouse, and reporting stacks, and architect solutions that align Stripe’s data capabilities with their finance and BI requirements. You will create reusable reference architectures, best‑practice guides, and training materials that elevate the technical proficiency of the broader sales organization. You will serve as the voice of the customer in product discussions, prioritizing features that address multi‑entity, multi‑currency, and custom data model challenges. You will act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, driving resolution with engineering and ensuring technical health is communicated in quarterly forecast calls. Finally, you will represent Stripe at executive briefings, conferences, and user groups, showcasing the value of our data platform to industry leaders. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You bring at least seven years of experience in technical sales, pre‑sales, or solutions architecture with a focus on data platforms, analytics, or financial reporting. You have a proven track record of designing and delivering data pipelines into Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks, and you are comfortable with ETL/ELT tooling and API integration patterns. You understand how payments and revenue data map to financial reporting, reconciliation, and BI workflows, and you have hands‑on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or Metabase. You possess advanced SQL skills and can work directly in a customer’s warehouse during discovery. Your communication and presentation skills enable you to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences, and you thrive in an ambiguous, fast‑moving environment. You have a history of building strong collaborative relationships with business partners and a passion for sharing knowledge across teams.
