Software Engineer, Traffic

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer, Traffic to join our Server Platform team at Figma. This team is responsible for building the foundational layer of infrastructure that underpins all other infrastructure and application services at Figma. As a member of this team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating scalable distributed systems and services that power Figma's innovative tools for design and collaboration. WHAT YOU'LL DO In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable distributed systems and services that power Figma's innovative tools for design and collaboration. This includes developing and securing our internal and edge network running on AWS, designing and deploying an internal service mesh network, developing intelligent detection and auto-scaling countermeasures for DDoS threats, and debugging and resolving production issues across services and multiple layers of the stack. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have 4+ years of experience building infrastructure components and services at scale in a cloud environment, experience with programming languages like TypeScript or Go, and experience building and scaling distributed and traffic systems as an individual contributor and/or team lead. A proven track record of building, scaling, and shipping high-quality products in high growth environments is also essential. The annual base salary range for this role is $153,000 - $376,000 USD, with the actual compensation determined by factors including individual qualifications, market demands, and specific work location.
