As a Software Engineer L2 focused on the Messaging API, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the core messaging infrastructure that powers millions of messages per day for customers worldwide. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will design and implement new messaging features and enhancements in Go and Java, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and reliability standards. You will write clean, test‑driven code and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, estimate effort, and deliver on time. You will troubleshoot production incidents, conduct post‑mortem analyses, and implement preventive measures to reduce MTTR. You will contribute to architectural discussions, proposing solutions that balance speed, cost, and maintainability. You will mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You have 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background in distributed systems and high‑throughput messaging. You are proficient in Go and Java, with experience building RESTful APIs and working with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. You understand asynchronous communication patterns, latency optimization, and fault tolerance in cloud environments. You have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). You are comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring tools like Prometheus or Datadog. You possess excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
