ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Technical iOS Engineer to join our Growth Team at StockX, a fast-growing technology leader in the online market for sneakers, apparel, accessories, electronics, collectibles, trading cards, and more. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a successful engineering culture and contributing to the development of fault-tolerant, scalable platforms for our iOS applications. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Technical iOS Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include: Developing, testing, and debugging the StockX iOS app using Swift and UIKit Building GraphQL APIs that interact with our backend services and REST APIs Utilizing MVVM architecture, design patterns, and best practices Staying up-to-date with any technology changes, including changes to the language (Swift), tools (Xcode, Mac OS, etc.), platform (iOS), and devices Working on initiatives from start to finish, including A/B testing Collaborating with product owners, internal stakeholders, program managers, and engineering managers to crystallize ambiguous requirements and propose resilient technical solutions that scale to future business needs Working with engineers in the team to architect and design proposed solutions Efficiently breaking up large system designs into detailed component design and implementing, deploying, and monitoring systems and services Proposing and adopting best engineering practices and guiding development standards Fostering a growth mindset culture and contributing to team processes for better sprint outcomes Applying considerations around security, scalability, reliability, and performance while proposing and building solutions Using sound technical judgment to consider technology alternatives, impact on affected and adjacent systems, and design choice tradeoffs Demonstrating complete ownership of services for your area of work and participating in supporting your systems and services through any system upgrades, live site issues, and others Providing timely communication to stakeholders and users for resolving issues WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: At least 3 years of relevant development experience A good understanding of the iOS platform, including common conventions Experience working in an Agile environment The ability to document new features, additions, and bug fixes clearly The ability to explain complex technical terms to non-technical users The ability to translate non-technical business requirements into a technical solution Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to say No when necessary A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred) WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere and enjoy a better work-life balance.
