ABOUT THE ROLE
Fivetran, a leading provider of cloud data integration technology, is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in developing world-class enterprise capabilities and features that support our largest and most sophisticated customers. You will have a significant impact on the entire product as we develop our next generation of enterprise, data governance, and solutions engineering offerings.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing and implementing features and performance improvements to create highly scalable distributed data pipelines on the cloud. Your tasks will include:
- Designing and implementing features and performance improvements to create highly scalable distributed data pipelines on the cloud
- Developing, maintaining, and testing code
- Conducting design and code reviews
- Collaborating with peers, product managers, customer support, and other stakeholders to deliver the best product with high quality, performance, and scalability
- Participating periodically in on-call rotation
- Ensuring Fivetran is the most reliable and secure component of our customers' data infrastructure
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- 3+ years of experience in the software industry with a passion for solving complex software engineering problems
- A software engineering foundation, including experience designing and developing reusable libraries and experimentation platforms for backend and frontend from scratch
