Software Engineer, DevInfra

ABOUT THE ROLE The DevInfra team at Mixpanel is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their platform engineering team. As a force multiplier for Mixpanel engineering, this role will partner with various teams to build and optimize software development lifecycles, ensuring speed, safety, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of solving tooling pain points, automating tasks, and leveraging AI to drive innovation. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Software Engineer on the DevInfra team, you will be responsible for: - Partnering with multiple teams to build and optimize software development lifecycles for speed, safety, and reliability - Deploying AI tools like Claude Code to the entire engineering team and building agents into the platform to augment on-call response and automatically fix bugs - Supporting systems that ingest over 1 trillion user-generated events every month while maintaining low end-to-end query latency - Managing infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine, including Terraform, cost management, networking, and security best practices - Serving as the overall service owner for Kubernetes, setting standards for deployment, observability, and developer experience - Maintaining observability pipelines, GitHub Actions based CI/CD pipelines, and devbox systems - Procuring best-in-breed SaaS tooling for the rest of engineering and running the new engineer onboarding process WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 3+ years of industry experience - Experience with at least one of: Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript - Production experience working with Kubernetes - Production experience managing infrastructure in a major cloud provider, preferably Google Cloud Platform - Knowledgeable about coding agents like Claude Code WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with a talented team of engineers.
