WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the software stack to empower Cloudflare customers. Your responsibilities will include architecting new globally distributed data consistency models, optimizing storage engine performance, and designing novel APIs for data-centric products. You will interact with a variety of languages and technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, and C++.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 6 years of experience working with distributed systems. You should have a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional design. Experience with at least one modern strongly-typed programming language, such as Rust, TypeScript, or Go, is also required. Additionally, you should have experience debugging, optimizing, and identifying failure modes in a large-scale distributed system.
