As a Senior Solutions Engineer on the West team, you will be the technical bridge between our product and the most demanding enterprise customers. You will work closely with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and internal product teams to translate complex business needs into robust, scalable solutions that demonstrate clear business value. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will lead technical discovery and architecture design for high‑value prospects, guiding them through proof‑of‑concept implementations that showcase LaunchDarkly’s capabilities. You will deliver compelling demonstrations, workshops, and proposals to C‑level executives and technical stakeholders, positioning the platform as a strategic enabler for their digital transformation. You will act as the trusted advisor who builds long‑term relationships, identifies technical champions, and advocates for customer success. You will collaborate with product and engineering to relay feedback, influence roadmap decisions, and ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of security and compliance. You will mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our SE tools and processes. Finally, you will represent LaunchDarkly at industry events, speaking on emerging trends and the future of feature flagging. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You bring eight or more years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise‑grade proofs of concept. You possess deep knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and you are comfortable designing secure, scalable architectures that comply with frameworks like PCI, HIPAA, or PII. Your communication skills are exceptional; you can articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences and have presented thought leadership at conferences or in industry publications. You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent experience. You thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and are comfortable traveling up to 50% of the time to meet customers and partners.
