Senior Solutions Architect, Financial Services - NYC area

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior Solutions Architect, Financial Services, you will play a crucial role in helping financial services customers in the New York area understand how GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform can meet their technical and regulatory needs. You will be a trusted advisor, guiding banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions through modernization and digital transformation. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to show how GitLab's platform addresses the technical, regulatory, and business needs of financial services customers. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading technical evaluations, including proofs of value and workshops, to demonstrate the value of GitLab's platform - Driving the technical evaluation process, including solution design, POC/POV ownership, workshop design, and support for technical components of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments - Collaborating with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies for new customer acquisition and expansion within financial services - Building and deepening relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders at financial services organizations - Advising customers on modern software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices in the context of financial services risk, governance, and compliance expectations - Conducting competitive analysis and positioning for complex opportunities to clarify GitLab's differentiated approach and improve technical win readiness - Representing the voice of the customer by sharing product feedback, use cases, integration needs, and field insights with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing - Mentoring other Solutions Architects, contributing to team learning initiatives, and sharing subject matter expertise through GitLab's common collaboration channels WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need: - Experience working with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or related roles where you've guided solution design, technical evaluations, and adoption planning - Ability to solve customer issues with broad scope and high complexity, including integration challenges and cross-functional technical scenarios - Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps practices, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud concepts - Hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar source code management, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms, with the ability to connect platform capabilities to customer goals - Experience facilitating workshops, leading proofs of concept or proofs of value, and contributing to technical assessments, audits, or value stream evaluations WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere and collaborate with a global team.
