Senior Software Engineer, Platform Network (Auth0)

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Network Engineering Team at Okta. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in evolving our network architecture to meet the demands of enormous growth and support the hundreds of millions of users who rely on us to provide uninterrupted access. You will have the opportunity to work with engineers throughout the engineering organization and contribute to the development of new services, tools, and automation to expose network functionality to other Okta engineering and operations teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing internal and edge networking infrastructure, designing solutions that work at global scale and with multi-cloud and multi-region constraints. You will also carry cross-team initiatives from end to end, including code reviews, design reviews, operational robustness, security hygiene, and more. Additionally, you will participate in the team's on-call rotation and contribute to the development of new services, tools, and automation to expose network functionality to other Okta engineering and operations teams. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have 3+ years of software development experience in cloud-native services like API. You should also have demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS. Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform and contributing to Go-based services is also highly desirable. You should have a passion for working on global distributed systems that are highly reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure. You should also be able to deliver work incrementally to get feedback and iterate over solutions. You will also receive equity (where applicable), bonus, and an annual base salary range of $136,000 - $187,000 CAD, depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
