Senior Software Engineer, Instacart Business

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Instacart Business team. As a lead engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing forward the B2B experience and capabilities of Instacart, with a focus on developing scalable software and taking ownership of the product development lifecycle from conception to deployment. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will be responsible for leading major workstreams within the team, influencing the direction and roadmap of the team through blending strong technical vision and product sense, and producing high-quality technical artifacts. Additionally, you will contribute high-quality code and code reviews, participate in the on-call rotation, and elevate the team overall through mentoring other engineers and identifying areas to improve effectiveness. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need a strong combination of ownership, technical excellence, and product sense. You should have a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent proven industry experience. You should also have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, a strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit, and expertise in one or more backend languages.
