Senior Software Engineer II, Cloud Data Ingestion & Transformation

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer II to join our Cloud Data Ingestion & Transformation (CDIT) team at Braze. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in driving the growth and success of our customers by designing and developing scalable web applications that seamlessly integrate with our platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for building and maintaining multiple systems that enable customers to quickly and successfully integrate their data with our platform. Your primary focus will be on Cloud Data Ingestion, which processes trillions of data points annually and integrates with an ever-growing variety of Braze features. You will also contribute to Data Transformation, a platform for customizing the flow of data from external sources into Braze. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on our customers' success and the company's growth. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 6+ years of full-stack development experience, with a strong focus on building scalable web applications - Experience as a technical leader with a track record of driving architectural decisions and contributing to technical strategy - Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms - Excellent communication and organizational skills, with experience working in an agile team environment - Willingness to learn the technologies required to deliver what customers need - Professional experience building software at scale, handling high volumes of data and traffic - Experience with Python/Django, React, Ruby on Rails, Snowflake, microservice architecture, and distributed systems - Familiarity with modern data warehousing, BI, and analytics - Experience with agile processes - A passion for incrementally delivering high-quality software that delights customers WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a collaborative and transparent culture.
