Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Coinbase Advisor - Agentic Trading)

ABOUT THE ROLE We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack to join the Coinbase Advisor team within the Consumer & Business group. This team is building AI-powered agentic trading experiences that help users discover opportunities, execute strategies, and manage portfolios through intelligent, conversational interfaces. You'll own the full-stack systems that bring these experiences to life across web and mobile, turning complex AI and trading concepts into fast, intuitive interactions used by millions of customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack, you'll be responsible for owning end-to-end full-stack development for Coinbase Advisor's agentic trading surfaces, delivering production-ready UI across web and React Native mobile as well as the Go backend services that power real-time AI and trading features. Your tasks will include building real-time, interactive interfaces for AI-driven trade recommendations, portfolio insights, and autonomous execution flows, ensuring sub-second responsiveness and visual clarity. You'll partner with AI/ML, backend, design, and product teams to define and ship new agentic trading features from concept through launch, drive architecture decisions for the Advisor product area, and lead code quality standards through rigorous code reviews, testing strategies, and performance optimization across the Advisor full-stack. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you'll need 5+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience shipping consumer-facing web and/or mobile products at scale, with deep proficiency in React/TypeScript or backend systems (Go preferred). You should have demonstrated ability to own architecture for a product area, including state management, API integration patterns, and performance optimization that measurably improved latency or reliability. Experience integrating AI or ML-powered features into user-facing products, including streaming responses, agentic workflows, or conversational interfaces, is also essential. Additionally, you should have a proven track record independently driving projects from zero to production, owning both product and technical decisions, and delivering outcomes with minimal oversight. Familiarity with crypto, financial products, or trading platforms is a plus. WHY REMOTE Coinbase is a remote-first company, meaning that we prioritize remote work and collaboration. While we do have in-person working sessions called "surges" that take place quarterly, the majority of your work will be done remotely. BENEFITS As a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack at Coinbase, you'll receive a competitive annual base salary ranging from $186,065 to $218,900 USD, depending on your location. You'll also be eligible for equity and bonus compensation, as well as benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.
