Senior Software Engineer- Applicative Infra team

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Applicative Infra team at Cato Networks. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building infrastructure for our backend services, developing common libraries, designing microservice architectures, and establishing best practices. WHAT YOU'LL DO In this position, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and developing complex cloud applications based on microservices architecture. You will gather requirements and design common software infrastructure to support multiple teams, develop core backend services, and build common libraries in Java, Node.js, or Go. Additionally, you will build and maintain our API Gateway using TypeScript and GraphQL, improve developer productivity by automating repetitive tasks and optimizing build times, research and develop proof of concepts, and adopt new technologies. You will also own, integrate, and implement solutions to enhance application resiliency, observability, and performance, and write detailed technical documentation for everything you develop. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need 5+ years of server-side development experience with Java and Spring Boot, with experience with TypeScript and Go being a plus. You must have a proven ability to take ownership of large projects from requirements gathering through to production deployment, excellent skills in technical writing and documentation, and experience with both NoSQL and relational databases. You should also be proficient with build tools such as Gradle and Maven, CI tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and experience with Kubernetes and Helm. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a recognized university is also required.
