Senior Software Engineer, Ads

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Ads team at Instacart. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in the evolution of our Ads suite, focusing on building world-class reporting solutions across various platforms. Your work will directly enhance our capability to process petabyte-scale data and deliver reports essential for billing, strategic decision-making, and partner management. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll contribute to the advancement of our Ads suite by working closely with cross-functional partners, including Product Designers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and other engineers. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining scalable and fault-tolerant metrics delivery systems - Collaborating with the team to design and implement comprehensive reporting solutions - Advocating for data quality, correctness, scalability, and latency standards - Spearheading new initiatives and coding components - Writing and reviewing system design documents - Partnering with other teams and functions to gather and understand customer requirements WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Strong software engineering skills with a focus on data and technology - Experience with our tech stack, including Rails, Go, DBT, Airflow, Scala, Apache Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, Snowflake, Python, and Terraform - Ability to lead and contribute to product and infrastructure features - Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for the intersection of data and technology - Excellent communication and collaboration skills WHY REMOTE At Instacart, we're a Flex First team, which means we believe in giving our employees the flexibility to choose where they do their best work.
